About us

Vindmark is founded on immense technical know-how, social usefulness, and responsibility. We believe that wind power and our circular repowering solution have a significant role to play in a sustainable future.

Repowering

To start understanding why wind power plants aren’t efficient, we must start by collecting relevant wind data. Various parameters need to be known concerning wind, including the mean wind speed, directional data, variations about the mean in the short term, daily, seasonal and annual variations, and variations with height. These parameters are highly site-specific and can only be determined with sufficient accuracy by measurements at a particular site over a period of time. There is also a need to understand how all components and systems in a wind turbine affect each other. A wind turbine’s behaviour comprises a complex interaction of components and sub-systems that all affect each other. Understanding the interactive behaviour between the components provides the key to reliable design calculations and optimised hybrid configurations. Vindmark has sophisticated design procedures and tools capable of providing accurate predictions of loads and complete simulations of the behavior of wind turbines over a wide range of different operational conditions. These tools enable Vindmark to evaluate different hybrid configurations and explore how the selected configuration would perform under extreme conditions. With the gathered data and our sophisticated tools, we can optimise wind power plants at scale.
